• ALL PENALTIES AND FEES ASSOCIATED WITH PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES HAVE BEEN WAIVED UNTIL MAY 1ST.

• TAX DEADLINE (BOTH STATE AND FEDERAL) MOVED TO JULY 15TH.

 

• GOV. JIM JUSTICE HAS DIRECTED ALL RESTAURANTS AND BARS TO CLOSE DINING AREAS FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. DRIVE-THRU, WALK-IN TAKE-OUT AND DELIVERY WILL STILL BE OFFERED AT MOST ESTABLISHMENTS.

 

ALL GYMS, HEALTH CLUBS, RECREATIONAL FACILITIES, BARBER SHOPS, HAIR AND NAIL SALONS, STATE PARK LODGES AND CAMPGROUNDS HAVE ALSO BEEN DIRECTED TO CLOSE - ALONG WITH THE HATFIELD-MCCOY TRAIL SYSTEM. STATE PARKS, THOUGH, REMAIN OPEN.

ANY OUT-OF-STATE TRAVELERS COMING TO WEST VIRGINIA FROM COVID-19 HOTSPOTS LIKE NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY, LOUISIANA AND OTHERS MUST SELF-QUARANTINE FOR AT LEAST TWO WEEKS. STATE POLICE HAVE BEEN DIRECTED TO ENFORCE THAT ORDER.

 

 

• THE U.S. SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (SBA) OFFERS LOW-INTEREST FEDERAL DISASTER LOANS TO WEST VIRGINIA SMALL BUSINESSES SUFFERING SUBSTANTIAL ECONOMIC INJURY AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19.

 

ELIGIBILITY IS BASED ON THE FINANCIAL IMPACT OF COVID-19. THE INTEREST RATE IS 3.75% FOR SMALL BUSINESSES, AND 2.75% FOR PRIVATE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.

• THE WEST VIRGINIA DIVISION OF MOTOR VEHICLES HAS CLOSED ALL REGIONAL OFFICES.

• THE WEST VIRGINIA BUREAU OF SENIOR SERVICES IS WORKING WITH FEDERAL AND COUNTY ENTITIES TO ENSURE THAT HOME-DELIVERIES OF MEALS FOR SENIORS CONTINUE -- AND THAT CONGREGATE SITE PARTICIPANTS ALSO RECEIVE MEALS. CALL 1-800-877-4304 FOR MORE INFO.

HOSPITALS

 

 

• LOGAN REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER HAS IMPLEMENTED A NO-VISITOR POLICY AS A SAFETY PRECAUTION.

 

• BOONE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL VISITING HOURS HAVE CHANGED. ON THE INPATIENT FLOOR: ONLY ONE VISITOR PER PATIENT, PER DAY ALLOWED DURING VISITING HOURS (10AM-NOON/4PM-8PM). THE HOSPITAL HAS ALSO INSTITUTED A SOFT-SCREENING PROCESS.

• CAMC HAS INSTITUTED A NO-VISITOR POLICY. IF AN ESSENTIAL CAREGIVER IS NEEDED FOR ASSISTANCE, ONLY ONE PERSON MAY ACCOMPANY A PATIENT AND THE CAREGIVER WILL BE ASKED TO WAIT IN THEIR VEHICLE DURING THE APPOINTMENT.

• TOWNE-N-COUNTRY WILL DEDICATE THE FIRST HOUR OF OPERATIONS EACH DAY TO SENIORS. 7AM TO 8AM MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. 8AM TO 9AM ON SUNDAY.  CLOSE AT 9PM EACH DAY.

 

 

• WALMART'S STORE HOURS WILL CHANGE (AGAIN). WILL BE ONLY OPEN FROM 7:00AM TO 8:30PM UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE SO THAT STORES CAN PROPERLY STOCK AND CLEAN. ALL SHIFTS AND DELIVERIES WILL CONTINUE AS SCHEDULED. ADDITIONALLY, THE STORE HAS SET LIMITS ON CERTAIN PURCHASES, INCLUDING PAPER PRODUCTS, HAND SANITIZER, MILK AND EGGS.

 

• KROGER HAS ALSO CHANGED STORE HOURS. NOW OPEN 7AM TO 10PM FOR STOCKING/CLEANING.

 

• DOLLAR GENERAL HAS ADJUSTED HOURS. THE COMPANY IS "STRONGLY ENCOURAGING" THAT THE FIRST HOUR OF OPERATIONS EACH DAY BE DEDICATED TO SENIORS AND OTHER HIGH-RISK SHOPPERS. STORES WILL CLOSE ONE HOUR EARLY TO GIVE EMPLOYEES ADEQUATE TIME TO CLEAN AND RE•STOCK.

 

• FOOD CITY WILL ALSO DEDICATE THEIR FIRST HOUR OF OPERATIONS TO SENIORS AND HIGH-RISK SHOPPERS.

• WHITE EYE CARE HAS REDUCED HOURS. NOW OPEN 8AM TO 1PM. CALL (304)-752-2020 FOR AFTER-HOURS EMERGENCIES.

 

 

• TRACY VICKERS COMMUNITY CENTER IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. SENIORS MAY STILL SIT OUTSIDE THE CENTER AND MEALS WILL BE BROUGHT TO THEM BETWEEN 11AM AND 1PM.

• ALL WV SCHOOLS CLOSED INDEFINITELY.

 

 

• ANY STUDENT WHO REQUIRES INTERNET ACCESS TO COMPLETE SCHOOL ASSIGNMENTS CAN RECEIVE FREE INTERNET SERVICE FROM SPECTRUM (1-844-488-8395), COMCAST (1-844-488-8395) OR SUDDENLINK (1-888-633-0030).

 

 

 

FEEDING PROGRAMS INFO (AS OF MARCH 1ST)


 

LOGAN COUNTY SCHOOLS WILL PROVIDE LUNCHES AND NEXT-DAY BREAKFAST TO CHILDREN IN THE AREA MONDAY THRU FRIDAY DURING SCHOOL CLOSURE. BUS DRIVERS WILL LEAVE SCHOOLS AT 10AM. STUDENT MEALS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PICK-UP AT THE SCHOOLS MON AND TUE FROM 10:3OAM TO 12:30PM.

 

SCHOOL EMPLOYEES WILL VOLUNTEER TO CONTINUE PROVIDING MEALS DURING SPRING BREAK. MEALS FOR BOTH MONDAY AND TUESDAY WILL BE DELIVERED ON MONDAY. MEALS FOR WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY WILL BE DELIVERED ON WEDNESDAY. MEALS ARE DELIVERED ALONG REGULAR BUS ROUTES BETWEEN 11AM AND 1PM.

 

 

BOONE COUNTY: ON MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS, LUNCH AND NEXT-DAY BREAKFAST WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK-UP AT MADISON ELEMENTARY, SHERMAN ELEMENTARY AND VAN ELEMENTARY FROM 10:30AM TO 12PM

 

ALL VAN AREA STUDENTS WILL BE SERVICED FROM VAN ELEMENTARY.
 

 

LINCOLN COUNTY: BUSES WILL LEAVE SCHOOLS AT 10:00 A.M. TO DELIVER TO REGULAR BUS ROUTES. PICK UP MEALS AT ALL SCHOOL LOCATIONS FROM 8:30AM TO 9:30AM FOR BREAKFAST AND 12PM TO 1PM FOR LUNCH.

 

MCDOWELL COUNTY: DRIVE THROUGH PICK-UPS AVAILABLE AT ALL LOCATIONS FROM 11AM TO 1PM.
