Animals, Dead & Alive, Removed From Residence


CABELL COUNTY, WVa The Huntington-Cabell-Wayne Animal Shelter and the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources discovered numerous animals at a residence Tuesday.


Officials were executing a search warrant in Cabell County and found animals, both dead and alive, ranging from domestic household pets to scorpions and spiders and more.


Reportedly, the animals were removed from the home of Jessica Neal. Authorities say Neal has a court order to not have animals due to previous charges.


Officials removed pigs, rabbits, scorpions, tarantulas, and turtles. Dead cats and a dead alligator were discovered in a freezer.


Neal faces drug charges for marijuana found at the time of the search and as many as 60 counts of animal cruelty and prohibited person with animals.
