Tug Valley showed why it was awarded the top seed in the Class A state tournament Tuesday, using a record-setting shooting performance from junior Kaylea Baisden to roll past No. 8 seed Pendleton County in quarterfinal, 67-24.
Baisden set a new single-game state tournament mark for all classifications with nine three-pointers — and she did it in three quarters.
The win sends Tug Valley (13-2) into a semifinal Thursday against the winner of No. 4 Tucker County/No. 5 Webster County.
