Boone Memorial Hospital has partnered with the West Virginia National Guard, DHHR and the Governor's Office to offer saliva testing for COVID-19.
Boone County is the first in the state to offer this kind of test, which health leaders say is about 99 percent accurate.
The test can be used on symptomatic and asymptomatic people.
334 people were tested with the saliva kit on Friday and Saturday in Boone County. Results from that testing have been sent to patients by email.
