Chapmanville man arrested with guns and drugs

CHAPMANVILLE A Chapmanville man was arrested for possession of drugs and firearms.

Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies and Chapmanville Police responded to a threatening complaint on Edward Ave. Wednesday night December 14.

According to police, 64-year-old Gregory Adkins gave police permission to search his residence on Edwards Avenue. Police allegedly found five firearms and containers of a crystal-like substance and marijuana.

Police reported Adkins is a felon and charged him with five counts of a prohibited person with a firearm. Moreover, Adkins was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
