The Logan City Council approved the first reading of their planning and zoning ordinance.
A second reading of the plan will occur next month.
First reported by the Logan Banner, the zoning ordinance will permit city officials to designate specific areas of the city for specific purposes such as businesses or residences.
Mayor Serafino Nolletti is scheduled to introduce individuals who will serve on the board for the comprehensive zoning plan.
The next meeting of the Logan City Council will be conducted Tuesday, October 12 at 4 p.m.
