An eastern Kentucky man was pronounced dead after coming into contact with a power line on the ground in Martin County.
The incident was reported around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday on River Front Road.
36-year-old Brandon Chapman of Tomahawk, KY was in the woods with his wife about 4 miles out of Lovely, KY Tuesday morning. The two were outside an abandoned building where a live power line ran through the woods on the ground.
Chapman came in contact with the wire and fell to the ground. His wife called 9-1-1 and first responders performed CPR, but Chapman eventually succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
