Fatal Fire In Wayne County Monday

A woman died in a Wayne County fire.

According to fire officials the residential fire occurred Tuesday afternoon in the 2900 block of Route 75.

Traffic shutdown Tuesday for fire crews to put out the blaze.

WSAZ identified the victim

as 81-year-old Theresa Stanley. The station also reported a cat died in the fire.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
