As coronavirus continues to spread in West Virginia, Gov. Jim Justice addressed the state regarding mask mandates Monday in a press conference.
Gov. Justice said the situation is dire, and cases are spiking throughout the state, but he’s not quite ready to issue a mask mandate.
What the governor did suggest was getting vaccinated.
Vaccines are available to all West Virginians 12 and older as long as they are medically cleared.
Of vaccine-eligible West Virginians, 57.4 percent are considered fully vaccinated.
Children under 12 have not been approved to receive the vaccine.
