A Logan County man faces several charges after he was accused of being under the influence of drugs around children.
Police were called to the Laurel Wood Apartments in Monaville Tuesday regarding a man who was possibly under the influence and causing a disturbance.
Police say when they arrived, Jessey Vance was riding a motorized bike away from the apartments.
Vance was apprehended. He told officers he had taken Neurontin and meth.
Deputies were made aware children were in the apartment. A 5-month-old baby was found in a crib. Police say pills and needles were found by the crib. A 5-year-old child was found near the apartment. The child was supposed to be in the care of Vance.
The children are now in the custody of Child Protective Services.
Vance faces two counts of child neglect causing risk of injury, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
