Logan Co. Schools Move From Red To Orange

There has been some improvement in the spread of coronavirus in Logan County, but not enough for children to attend in-person classes at the start of the school year.

The county was the lone red county in West Virginia for a long time, but that status was recently changed to orange.

Counties must be in yellow or green to allow in-person classes.

Logan County schools will begin the school year virtually, and the situation will be reassessed in October.

All extracurricular activities are suspended until the county moves to yellow or green.

Schools in West Virginia are slated to begin September 8.
