The date of the Logan Lions Club Rubber Duck race was announced today.
Lion Club member Susan Perry announced the annual duck race will take place on Saturday, September 11.
Perry was a guest on the Friday edition of What’s Your Opinion and explained all the proceeds will go to the club’s charity fund.
“All of the proceeds go to our charity fund,” Perry said. “That’s one of the hallmarks of Lionism. We do not raise money to fund any activities that are solely for Lions.”
Sponsoring a duck will cost $5 and the fastest duck will win $1,000. Contact your local Lion for tickets and sponsorships. More information can be found at the club’s facebook page.
The race begins at the Water Street bridge and ends behind the Logan Emergency
Ambulance Service Authority headquarter on the Guyandotte River.
