Officials say the suspect who barricaded himself in a home in Boone County is in custody.
The standoff happened on Chap Road in the Van area of Boone County.
Authorities say initially, a person called 911 just before seven o’clock Monday evening and said an inebriated man pointed a firearm at the caller.
A West Virginia State Trooper reported shots fired by the suspect at around 7:30 p.m. before the suspect barricaded himself inside the home.
Authorities report the man turned himself in after a standoff with police surrounding the residence.
