Nearly 300 Cases Of Coronavirus Sweep Through Correctional Facility

In McDowell County, more than 280 inmates and staff at the Stevens Correctional Center have tested positive for the coronavirus.


Gov. Jim Justice on Monday announced recent testing has shown 254 active inmate cases and 28 active staff cases related to a recent outbreak.


The facility is on lock down.


There are seven active inmate cases and 24 active staff cases across West Virginia’s other correctional institutions.
