The Mingo County Health Department says another person has died in connection to the coronavirus.
This brings the total number of deaths to eight.
Officials say the person who died was 83-years-old and passed away in the hospital.
Since Friday, the Boone County Health Department has confirmed 12 new cases of COVID-19.
Four of those cases were contacts of other cases. Two of the cases are from work exposure. One is a travel exposure and the remaining five are community exposure.
All cases are in quarantine.
Boone County’s cumulative total of cases is 184. That includes 34 active cases and 150 recovered cases.
Five patients are currently hospitalized.
