Construction on a pedestrian tunnel will begin in Pike County, KY next week.
The tunnel is for pedestrian traffic at Pikeville Medical Center.
Construction is set to begin Monday, which will mean traffic pattern changes in the area.
The pedestrian tunnel will be 108 feet long, 10 feet wide and 8 feet high.
The tunnel is expected to be finished in a couple months.
Traffic will only be changed for the initial three weeks of the construction.
The price of the tunnel is about $1 million.
