Dozens of students at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College got a fresh slate financially.
Southern used just more then $47,000 from the CARES Act to pay off account balances for 70 students who were financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The college paid off the amounts between March of 2020, and the summer semester this year.
