Vaccine Clinics Coming To The Coalfields This Week

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources has released information for this week's COVID-19 vaccination clinics available for anyone in the state age 65 and older.


The clinics will be held Wednesday through Saturday through an initiative called Operation Save Our Wisdom. All clinics are listed as full, but each one will utilize existing waitlists. Those selected for an available slot will be notified.


Walk-ins will not be accepted as vaccine supplies are limited.


The state encourages all residents to pre-register for a COVID vaccine through the state vaccine registration system at vaccinate.wv.gov.


The following are the clinics offered this week in the Coalfields:


Wednesday, Feb. 10

Logan County: 9 - Noon, Logan County Resource Center, 100 Recovery Road, Peach Creek (Full)


Thursday, Feb. 11

Lincoln County: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Lincoln County Health Department, 8008 Court Avenue, Hamlin (Full)

Mingo County - 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Williamson Memorial Hospital, 859 Alderson Street, Williamson (Full)

Mingo County - 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Larry Joe Harless Community Center, 202 Larry Joe Harless Drive, Gilbert (Full)


Friday, Feb. 12

Boone County: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Madison Civic Center, 261 Washington Avenue, Madison (Full)

Lincoln County: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Lincoln County Health Department, 8008 Court Avenue, Hamlin (Full)

McDowell County: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., Old Kimball Walmart, 171 Plaza Drive, Kimball (Full)
