WV DHHR Color-Coded Map for Tuesday, October 6


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 194 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.


As of 10 o’clock this morning, West Virginia has 4,330 active cases.


A Total of 364 West Virginians have succumbed to the virus since the onset of the outbreak.

Today’s daily positive rate of infection is 2.75%.


According to the state DHHR color-coded map released Friday morning, 6 counties are in the “gold” category. “Gold” counties include Logan, Putnam and Wayne.


Boone and Mingo counties are orange, the second most restrictive category.

Lincoln and Wyoming counties are yellow.


McDowell County is green.


No counties are red.


West Virginia has 16,936 cumulative cases of coronavirus.
