WV DHHR Updates Daily Color-Coded Map for Wednesday Sept. 23rd


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 120 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.


As of 10 o’clock Wednesday morning, West Virginia has 3,464 active cases of the virus.

A Total of 319 West Virginians have succumbed to the virus since the onset of the outbreak.

Today’s daily positive rate of infection is 3.35%.


According to the state DHHR color-coded map released Wednesday morning, Wyoming County is in the “gold” category. Logan, Mingo, Boone, and Wayne counties are in the “orange” category.


Lincoln County is yellow, and McDowell County is green.
