WVNG Prepping For COVID Vaccine Distribution

The West Virginia National Guard is preparing to distribute the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine once it becomes available.

They are anticipating 50,000 doses of the vaccine in the first round of distribution. The vaccine will be delivered to 12 hubs around the state.

Long-term care facilities and healthcare workers are expected to the first ones to receive the vaccine.

The vaccine will ideally be available to those who are high risk in the next four weeks.
