A Wyoming County man will be the first from West Virginia to join the U.S. Space Force.
Westside High School graduate Michael Hoosier told WVVA-TV he was recently recruited to work in Operations Intelligence based on robotics experience and test scores.
The U.S. Space Force is the newest branch of the U.S. Military, created under President Donald Trump. After some debate, it was decided the service will continue under the Biden Administration.
