Chapmanville cruises to tri-match win, Evans claims medalist honors with a 38

The Chapmanville Tigers dominated a tri-match Wednesday at Little Creek Country Club, placing four golfers in the top five and beating Sissonville by 34 shots. Cooper Evans earned medalist honors with a 38, while Zeke Tiller, Colton Thompson and Nate Farley finished third through fifth. Chapmanville shot 175, ahead of Sissonville’s 209 and Nitro’s 243.

SOUTH CHARLESTON The Chapmanville Tigers golf team placed four

golfers in the top five Wednesday afternoon (8/12) rolling to a 34-shot tri-match win

over Sissonville and Nitro at Little Creek Country Club.

Finishing with a team score of 175, Chapmanville finished 34 shots better than

Sissonville, who complied a team score of 209, was 68 shots better than Nitro,

who finished third with a score of 243.

Cooper Evans earned medalist honors with a round of 38 to finish two shots

ahead of Sissonville’s Layne Coffman, who carded a 40.

Chapmanville’s Zeke Tiller, Colton Thompson and Nate Farley finished third

through fifth in the individual standings. Tiller shot a round of 44 while

Thompson fired a 46 and Farley a 47.

Sissonville’s Gavin Atkins was sixth with a round of 55 followed by

Sissonville’s Brantley Whiting and Nitro teammates Travis Harper and Eli Moll,

all three shot a round of 56.
