Man pleads guilty to First Degree Murder from 2024 Ethel shooting

A Logan County murder case came to a close this week after 24-year-old Daris Stanton pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the 2024 shooting death of 42-year-old Walter Elmore during a drug-related dispute at a residence on Enchanted Circle in the Ethel area. Two charged in connection with theft near Blair last week

Sobriety checkpoint planned in Logan Tuesday

State Police will hold a sobriety checkpoint on WV 73 in Logan this Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 6 p.m. to midnight. An alternate site is Enterprise Drive at Deskin’s Addition.
