WVDoH awards $72.5M for work on portion of Coalfields Expressway project
Construction on the Coalfields Expressway is moving forward with a new $72.5 million contract awarded to Triton Construction Inc. The project will build a three-mile connector between Pineville and Twin Falls State Park, including a half-mile link into the park. Once complete, the expressway (U.S. 121) will stretch from Beckley to Pound, Virginia, opening new routes through Raleigh, Wyoming, and McDowell counties.
