Chapmanville golf competes in WV Army National Guard WVGA Invite

Virginia Army National Guard West Virginia Golf Association Invite

Wednesday morning at The Resort at Glade Springs.

One of 29 schools competing, Chapmanville led by sophomore Cooper

Evans, who shot a 23-over 95, carded a team total of 302 finishing in a 26 th

place tie with Greater Beckley Christian.

Junior Zeke Tiller had the next lowest round for the Tigers with a round of 100.

Sophomore Nate Farley fired a round of 107 and senior Colton Thompson

added a round of 109 for Chapmanville.

Behind three golfers in the top 11 individual standings, reigning Class AAAA

champion Hurricane shot a 213 and finished 12 shots than Graham (Virginia),

Greenbrier East and Shady Spring, who tied for second with a round of 228.

Bridgeport rounded out the top five with a round of 235. Winfield (236) was

sixth, John Marshall (244) seventh, Cabell Midland (245) was eighth and

Capital (246) and George Washington (246) tied for ninth.

Hurricane junior Isaac Hayes lead the individual medalist standings after

shooting a four-under par 68, one shot better than teammate Parker O’Dell,

who carded a three-under par 69.

Graham’s Bailey Goodson and Greenbrier East teammates Isaac Hutchison

and Seth Napier, and Wirt County freshman Jude Walker shared third place

honors after carding a one-over 73.

Shady Spring’s Malachi Flohr and John Marshall’s Drew Marling each fired a

two-over 74 to tie for seventh and Winfield’s Lucas Hall and Bridgeport’s

Alexander Randolph tied for ninth with a three-over 75.
