Chapmanville kicks off annual Apple Butter Festival this week

CHAPMANVILLE The annual Chapmanville Apple Butter Festival returns this week with three days of fall activities in Logan County.
According to the Hatfield-McCoy Convention and Visitors Bureau, the town plans to have a cornhole tournament, quilt show, chili cook-off, a car cruise-in and “Grillin’ in the Ville.” The festival will also feature food, entertainment and performances, vendors, amusement rides and, to be sure, plenty of apple butter.
The event will wrap up with a fireworks display put on by the Town of Chapmanville.
Organizer Sally Stollings says the town is inviting residents and visitors to spend some time in Chapmanville for the annual Appalachian fall festival.
The Chapmanville Apple Butter Festival runs this Thursday, September 24, through Saturday, September 26.
