Charleston Central scores two in the sixth, walks off Logan Little League, 3-2

BARBOURSVILLE Ty Testman singled with two outs in the bottom of the
sixth to give the Charleston Central Little League All Stars a 3-2 win over the
Logan Little League Saturday afternoon in the West Virginia Little League 10-
12-Year-Old Baseball State Tournament at Barboursville Park.
Trailing 2-1 entering the bottom of the sixth, Easton Harper singled and
advanced to second on an error. Harper advanced to third on a ground out
and scored on KJ Jackfert’s groundout to tie the game at 2.
Caleb Plumley and Levi Hill walked and Cruz Ferrell struck out setting the
stage for Testman, who singled on a 1-2 pitch to score Plumley from third
base.
Charleston Central led 1-0 after one inning after a bases loaded walk to
Harper, but Logan plated two runs in the third inning to take a 2-1 lead.
Croix Marcum drew a bases loaded walk to tie the game at 1, and Easton
McCoy scored on an error to put Logan ahead 2-1.
Plumley allowed three hits and walked two in 3 1/3 innings and was the
winning pitcher for Charleston Central. Sawyer Lewis started on the mound
and allowed two runs on one hit, struck out six and walked two in 2 2/3
innings.
Aiden Tignor had three hits, Harper and Testman each had one hit and one
RBI, Levi Hill and Plumley each had one hit and Jackfert drove in one run for
Charleston Central.
Cooper Browning was the tough luck losing pitcher after allowing one run and
walked two. Chandler Grimmett started for Logan and allowed one run and
one hit, struck out five and walked two in two innings.
Carter Blevins allowed three hits and struck out two in two innings of relief.
Kent Pritchard allowed one run and two hits in 1 1/3 innings and Lawson
O’Neal allowed one hit and struck out one in 1/3 innings.
Noah Harvey, McCoy, Colton Mullins and O’Neal each had one hit for Logan.
Logan will face Barboursville in a Herd Bracket elimination game at 5 p.m.
Monday.
