Four-year-old drowns at Chief Logan Lodge pool



LOGAN A young girl reportedly drowned over the weekend at Chief Logan State Park


State Police said a four-year-old girl was found unresponsive in the pool at Chief Logan State Park Lodge Saturday, June 24.


She was taken to Logan Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.


Her name has not been released.


The drowning is under investigation


UPDATE: 6/26/23 : 1:52 p.m.


West Virginia State Police released the name of the child that died in an accidental drowning at Chief Logan State Park.


According to state police, four-year-old SkyLynn Brewer drowned in the pool at Chief Logan Lodge.


The child was attending a family event when she was discovered unresponsive in the pool.


The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy.
