Logan Sheriff's collects unused medications for National Take Back Day

LOGAN The Logan County Sheriff’s Department releases results of the the 2023 Fall Drug Take Back Day this past weekend

According to the sheriff's office, approximately more than 140.5 pounds of prescription medication was collected during the Take Back event on Saturday.

Instead of falling into the wrong hands or ending up in our county’s water supply, the expired or unwanted medication will be safely disposed of in the near future.

This is a yearly continuous partnership with The Logan County Sheriff’s Department, The Drug Enforcement Agency and The Logan County Prevention Coalition.

Citizens can always dispose of any unused medication at The Logan County Sheriffs Office, Man City Hall and the Chapmanville Police Department.
