W.Va. Residents Ride Free This W.Va. Day Weekend


West Virginians ride free on West Virginia Day Weekend, according to a press release from Hatfield-Mcoy Trails.


Mountain State residents can ride free of charge on Hatfield-McCoy Trails during the West Virginia Day holiday weekend beginning this Friday, June eighteenth. Day Passes will be issued to all West Virginians that present a valid state driver’s license or state issued identification at Hatfield-McCoy trailheads and facilities.


The free ride weekend for residents runs through Monday, June twenty first.


“We want all Mountaineers to discover the best ATV trails in the U.S.A.,” said Hatfield_McCoy Trails Executive Director, Jeffrey Lusk. “So, saddle up, ride free and celebrate West Virginia Day with us.”


The Day Passes for residents are not available online or at local retailers and the passes are only valid for June 18 through June 21.


Passes can only be obtained at trailheads and trail facilities.


Bearwallow Trailhead : 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.


Buffalo Mountain Trailhead : 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.


Cabwaylingo Trailhead : 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.


Country Roads Visitor Center : 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.


Devil Anse Trail Head : 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.


Hatfield McCoy Welcome Center : 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.


Ivy Branch Trailhead : 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.


Pinnacle Creek Trailhead : 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.


Pocahontas Trailhead : 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.


Rockhouse Trailhead : 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.


Warrior Trailhead : 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
