Southern to host FAFSA workshop at Logan, Williamson campuses

Student financial aid doesn't have to be a headache for students in southern West Virginia.

Southern West Virginia Community & Technical College's Logan campus will host a FAFSA workshop on August 6 ahead of the 2026-27 academic year. The college's Williamson campus will have a similar event the day before.

LOGAN Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College will host a FAFSA workshop next week to help students complete their financial aid applications.

More information about Southern's FAFSA workshops is available at their Facebook page or at southernwv.edu.

The workshop will take place Thursday, August 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Financial Aid Office on the Logan campus. Students may drop in at any time for one-on-one assistance with the 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

One day prior on August 5, the college will host a similar event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Williamson campus.

Participants should bring their FSA ID, Social Security number, 2024 tax information and an email address. Dependent students should also bring the same information for a parent.
