A Logan County man faces increased charges after the victim of a beating died.
On Saturday, Kelly Hampton was severely beaten and her boyfriend, Steven Duty, was charged with malicious wounding.
Hampton later died of her injuries.
Duty’s charges will be upgraded from malicious wounding to murder, pending an autopsy Wednesday morning.
Kelly’s family is planning a vigil to honor her life. It will take place at 6 p.m. Friday at the state building in Logan County.
