WV DHHR Color Map Represents Dramatic Rise in COVID Cases


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 801 new cases of COVID-19.


As of 10 o’clock Monday morning, West Virginia has 10,377 active cases of coronavirus.


Since the onset of the outbreak, 585 West Virginians have succumbed to the virus. Three deaths were reported in the last 24-hours.


Today’s daily positive infection rate is 5.31%.


According to the state DHHR color-coded map released this morning, Logan County is in the “yellow” category.


Boone, Lincoln, Mingo, Wayne and Wyoming counties are orange.


McDowell County is gold.


West Virginia has 34,460 cumulative cases of coronavirus.
