WVU’s twelfth all-time leading scorer in men’s basketball has died.
Chris Brooks, a former Mountaineer stand out forward, passed away at his residence in the Bronx. He just recently celebrated his 54th birthday on January 5th.
Brooks competed in over 100 games with W.Va. and scored 1,661 points in four-years. He is ranked 15th with 755 rebounds on (WVU Sports Communications) WVU’s all-time list.
Brooks was recruited to West Virginia University by assistant coach Ron Brown.
He was selected to the McDonald’s All-American game in 1987.
