On Monday, Logan County Deputies responded to Chief Logan Lodger for a welfare check aftere a report of a mother with two children was possibly under the influence. The children were allegedly swimming at the time of the report but were already back in their room by the time officers arrived for the check.
Everet Salisbury and Jessica Salisbury were in the room with their children and granted deputies permission to enter. The individuals displayed signs of impairment and Everett gave verbal consent for a search of the room.
According to the complaint, a plastic bag containing a brown powder substand believed to be heroin was on the bed with Jessica Slaisbury. Moreover, a box in the nightstand contained another 4.75 ounces of suspected heroin.
Officers received written consent for a search of a 2006 Dodge Charger and allegedly discovered more drugs and a pistol.
Bothe dfendants were charged with two counts of child neglect creating risk of injury. Everett was charged with four counts of possession with intent to deliver. Jessica was also charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.
