Akron man arrested with 1/2 pound of fentanyl and meth



Chapmanville An Akron, Ohio man arrested in Logan County for possession with intent for fentanyl and methamphetamine.


It started as a routine traffic stop in the Chapmanville area of US 119 on Friday, November fifth


A silver Kia was pulled over for an obstructed license plate and allegedly crossing the white line of the roadway three-times over the span of about one mile.


West Virginia State Police say 27-year-old Angere Deontae Duane Kerney was driving the vehicle with two passengers. State troopers alleged the car smelled of marijuana.


According to the criminal complaint, a probable cause search turned up a half pound of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine separated into multiple plastic bags.


Kerney was charged with possession with intent for the fentanyl and meth and a charge of conspiracy. All felonies.

Bond was set at $100,000 full cash or surety.
