The crash occurred in the Micco area of Route 44 around eleven o’clock the morning of November 2, 2021.

According to the complaint filed in Logan County Magistrate Court, Akers, along with a passenger, told police he was traveling south and crossed the center line retrieving a napkin he dropped in the floor. The vehicle operated by Akers stuck a northbound vehicle driven by Pamela Chapman.

A total of six people, four in one vehicle and two in the other, were entrapped and required extrication.

A clear plastic baggy appearing to be crystal meth was allegedly found in the vehicle. Akers denied any knowledge of the meth and the complaint did not elaborate on any blood screens conducted.
