HINTON Brandon Isaac scored 20 points and Cruz Testerman added 18 points for Summers County in a 72-26 win over the cold-shooting Class A No. 6 Man Hillbillies Tuesday afternoon at Coach Wayne Ryan Court.
Michael Judy narrowly missed a double-double finishing with eight points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Isaac finished with eight rebounds and Testerman added a team-high four assists for the Bobcats (2-3).
Caleb Vance made 4 of 7 shots from the field and 3 of 5 from 3-point range to lead Man with 11 points.
While Vance was making shots, the rest of the Hillbillies shot just 6 of 38 from the field and 1 of 9 from behind the arc.
The Hillbillies finished the game making just 22.2% of its shots (10 of 45), shot 28.6% from behind the arc and made just 2 of 7 from the free throw line.
Vance’s 3 with 7:14 in the first quarter tied the contest, 3-3, but the Hillbillies missed their next 10 shots before Chris Isaacs layup with 0:50 left in the opening quarter.
Man trailed 16-6 after one quarter and was behind 38-11 at halftime after shooting 16% (4 of 25) from the field in the first half.
The Bobcats made 25 of 60 shots from the field, was 6 of 25 from beyond the arc and 16 of 20 from the free-throw line.
Nine players cracked the score column for the Bobcats, who outrebounded the Hillbillies 44-25.
Trey Ward scored seven points and had a team-high three assists for Man.
Man (1-4), who has lost four straight games, returns to action Tuesday at home against Sherman.
