Body Discovered At Pecks Mill

An investigation is underway after a body was discovered Wednesday.

First Sergeant M.S. Lively of the Logan Detachment of the West Virginia State Police said a deceased middle-aged woman was discovered in Pecks Mill.

State Police told news outlets, the woman was found alive after she was dumped from a garbage truck at the landfill. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police theorize the woman took shelter in a dumpster from the severe storms in the area.
