The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 1,122 new cases of COVID-19.
As of 10 o’clock Thursday morning, West Virginia has 11,643 active cases of coronavirus.
Since the onset of the outbreak, 623 West Virginians have succumbed to the virus. Eleven deaths were reported in the last 24-hours.
Today’s daily positive infection rate is 5.22%.
According to the state DHHR color-coded map released this morning, Boone and Wayne counties are in the red category.
Wyoming and Raleigh counties are orange.
Logan, Lincoln and Mingo counties are gold.
McDowell County is yellow.
