LOGAN  Logan Regional Medical Center Chief Executive Officer Justin Turner has been named to Becker's Healthcare's "Community Hospital CEOs to Know" list for 2026.

The annual list recognizes chief executive officers leading community hospitals and health systems through a changing healthcare landscape while focusing on quality care, innovation, growth and the needs of the communities they serve.

Turner is in his second year as CEO of Logan Regional Medical Center, a 132-bed, Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital. In his position, he leads more than 600 employees and medical staff, with what the hospital describes as a focus on strengthening patient care, expanding access to services and building partnerships that benefit the communities LRMC serves.

Turner began his healthcare career at Logan Regional in 2012, holding roles in business development, customer service, marketing and physician recruitment before becoming an assistant administrator. He later served as chief operating officer at two other hospitals before returning to Logan Regional as CEO.

Under his leadership, the hospital has launched a collaboration with nonprofit Coalfield Health to provide more affordable primary care, established a separately accredited rural general surgery residency program, and signed a memorandum of understanding with Huntington-based Mountain Health Network to form a regional collaboration framework.

“In today’s healthcare scene, we have to do more partnerships… Because it's for the betterment of the community too. It’s more access to people. And you know, working together is always better than working against each other,” Turner said on an episode of WVOW's "LRMC and You."

Logan Regional has also received several recognitions for quality and patient care in recent years, including a Leapfrog "A" Safety Grade in both the fall 2024 and spring 2026 grading cycles. The hospital was named one of five West Virginia hospitals on Forbes' inaugural list of Top Hospitals, and received ScionHealth's 2025 Platinum Award, Chartis' 2025 Performance Leadership Award for Patient Outcomes, and the West Virginia Hospital Association's Gold Honor for Excellence in Patient Care.

Outside the hospital, Turner serves on the boards of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, the Chief Logan Recreational Center and the Logan County Economic Development Authority.

The recognition comes as Logan Regional Medical Center marks its centennial year, having served southern West Virginia since 1926.
