Boone County Hit & Run, Police Look For Suspect

Boone County Deputies are looking

for a vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run accident in Ottawa early Wednesday morning.

According Boone County Sheriff Chad Barker, the victim was a 34-year old man walking along Route 17 at approximately at 4 o’clock this morning. The vehicle left the scene.

Investigators believe the suspect was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze at the time of the incident. The vehicle will have the passenger side mirror missing.

It wasn’t clear at press time if the victim was hit intentionally.
