A man from Boone County has been arrested in connection with an ongoing water theft investigation by the West Virginia American Water Company and Boone County Sheriff’s Department.
50-year-old David Smith of Uneeda was arrested and charged with Procuring Water and Tampering with Pipes, Tubes and Conductors.
The case has been under investigation since March. At least 7 people have been arrested in connection with the water theft.
