Boone man charged for fatal stabbing

BOONE COUNTY A man is accused of fatal weekend in Boone County.
According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, 60-year-old James Pugh III is charged with first-degree murder. The fatal stabbing occurred around five o’clock Sunday evening (7/9) on Camp Creek Road.
Deputies attempted to resuscitate the victim by performing CPR but were unsucessful. The victim was identified as Lodis Lafferty.
Pugh is being held without bond at Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden.
This is a heartbreaking story. My thoughts are with the victim's family and everyone affected by this tragedy. Hopefully the legal process will provide a fair investigation and some measure of justice. After reading difficult news like this, I sometimes take a short break with space waves to clear my mind before getting back to the day.
