Deputies pursued a vehicle through two counties last week
Police attempted a traffic stop for several violations. According to Boone County Sheriff’s Department, the driver of the vehicle fled and entered Kanawha County.
The driver, 41-year-old Jerry Mitchell of Comfort, was eventually arrested. He was charged with fleeing, possession of a stolen vehicle, and receiving or transferring stolen property.
Mitchell is being held on a $101,000 bond from Boone County and $5,000 bond in Kanawha County
Investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible.
