Charges Pending Against 16-Year-Old For Clothier Post Office Break-In


Logan County Deputies answered a 911 call in regards to a break-in at the Clothier Post Office on Friday, January twenty-first.


Upon arrival at the scene, a postal employee alerted deputies that several of the employee’s personal electronics and other residential packages had been stolen.


Moreover, the employee provided police with a tracking app on one of the missing electronic devices that directed deputies to a residence near the post office.


The homeowner consented to check of the residence. Police located the missing electronics and a missing residential package. Through investigation, police discovered the suspect to be a sixteen-year-old juvenile male living at the residence.


According to police, the minor confessed to the crime.


Charges are currently pending.


Logan County Sheriff P.D. Clemens thanked the Boone County Sheriff’s Department for their quick response and assistance.
