Charles Street apartment fire investigated as arson

LOGAN The City of Logan Fire Fighters were back out fighting another fire Monday afternoon.

Fire Crews were dispatched to an apartment fire at 113 Charles Street in Logan. The fire dispatch occurred at 11:28 am the morning to Monday, October ninth.

According to a social media post from the fire department, crews arrived to a working fire contained to one room of the apartment. Firefighters extinguished flames quickly and no injuries were reported.

The fire is being investigated as arson.

The City of Logan Fire Department responded to another working structure over the weekend.

The structure on Cole Street was fully involved by the time firefighters were on the scene around midnight Friday night October sixth and early Saturday morning of the seventh. According to a post from the fire department, flames were already through the roof when crews arrived

Firefighters also contended with exposures within fifteen feet of the burning building on three sides. Response by crews prevented the fire from spreading to more structures.
