CHARLESTON A Boone County man sentenced in Charleston federal court Thursday for a felony gun crime

According to the US Attorney’s Office, 54-year-old Kevin Wayne Britton, of Danville, was sentenced to one year and one day in prison, for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Britton sold a twelve-gauge shotgun, a .22-caliber rifle and ammunition to a confidential informant in the South Charleston area back in September 2023.

A person with a felony conviction is prohibited by federal law from possessing a firearm or ammunition. Britton was previously convicted for obstruction of justice in United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia in 2012.

United States Attorney Will Thompson commended the investigative work of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Britton’s sentence will be followed by three years of supervised release.

My friends and I sometimes use FMovies when we want to find something to watch together. It usually ends with us debating what to pick, laughing at the best scenes, and talking about it afterward.
