CHAPMANVILLE A death investigation is underway after a pair of bodies were discovered in a Logan County home Monday.
According to the West Virginia State Police, troopers were responding to a welfare check in the 5000 block of Garretts Fork Road in Chapmanville.
Upon arrival, troopers discovered that the front door was open and once inside found the bodies of Amber Yvonne Adkins, 42, and Charles Ray Adkins, 43, both with gunshot wounds.
Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene in what troopers believe to be an isolated domestic incident.
An ongoing murder investigation is underway; however, troopers believe this to be a possible murder-suicide and believe there is no threat to the community.
